When you start a page on facebook, sometimes you get a long username with an unmemorizable number added after it. This not only makes it hard to remember, it also makes it difficult to direct people to your page, and to add your facebook url address to any marketing and advertising.
I have moved my Tricias Things Photo Blog over to a new webpage called Sweet Rascal Photos, then started a new Sweet Rascal Photos Facebook page as well. BUT: Facebook won’t allow me to shorten that user name until I have 30 NEW LIKES.
Once you have 30 Likes, simply go to facebook.com/username, select your page (I have several), and enter your shortened name. IMPORTANT: facebook only lets you change it once, be careful not to misspell or change your mind!
My new facebook page for Sweet Rascal Photos.
Here is the long username / url that I hope to get to shorten soon:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sweet-Rascal-Photos/481474635202505
See how frustrating that url would be to print on a business card or say outloud to someone when they ask?
Anyone willing to Like my new Sweet Rascal Photos page and help me get started? Thanks to those who would like to join me! And I always appreciate comments and feedback both here and on facebook, so thanks for that too.
~Tricia

I should take a look at this, I want to change my facebook page to Leanne Cole Photography. I will do what you have suggested. Thanks Tricia
I looked at your face book page… there is another leanne cole, but I found and Liked your photography page. You just need at least 30 likes… I hope to get there soon. Good luck. NOTE: you can only change it once! I should update my post to say that too.
Great blog… very much Helpful…
Thank you.
